Meet the Founders

George Gallego and Danniel Swatosh are partners in life and leadership and the founders of Common Ground Collective. Together, they bring experience in community programming, wellness, hospitality, creative production, and strategic partnerships to a shared vision: creating a welcoming place where people can move, make, learn, and connect.

George is an entrepreneur, community advocate, and accomplished endurance athlete. His work spans founding The Axis Project, co-founding Contento NYC, and shaping its next chapter as El Barrio Contento alongside his son. Across these ventures, he brings a belief in possibility, the value of connection, and our capacity to discover new directions throughout life.

Danniel is a strategist, creative producer, and community builder whose work brings people, ideas, and experiences together. Her experience in storytelling, program design, cultural programming, and partnerships helps turn shared ideas into meaningful opportunities for participation and collaboration.
